The Gowdawn Explorers

Sasha grew up in the ghettos of the southern town of Delves Palm. A city awash in poverty. She was the bastard child of a local prostitute and the son of a traveling merchant. Luckily for her, the young man’s family decided to pay a local merchant for her care as a child, with the understanding she would leave the city and join them when she came of age.

From a young age she received extensive training from an experienced spymaster hired by the merchant; thus giving her the skills the family would find most useful. Years later, on the cusp of reaching the appointed age, the family’s fortune turned, violently.

In the aftermath, Sasha fled to the town of Gowdawn where she used her skills to start the Gowdawn Explorers. One of the few contacts she had left gave her their first mission. Little did she know, the job was not to be as easy as she had been lead to believe. The mark was a dangerous man, one who would not part easily with what was his, nor fail to hold a grudge…

Doric Silverbane

After his father gambled away his labor on a boxing match, Doric left his homeland to escape his indenture to one of the great guilds under the mountain. He chose exile over paying for debts not his own.

Soon, Doric found himself near the small human city of Gowdawn. This is where he fell in with the rest of the party. His martial skills were in high demand within the group and with nowhere else to be, he decided the adventuring life was for him. Thus he became a part of the Gowdawn Explorers.

Unfortunately this soon proved a poor choice for young Doric, for they were quickly hired to retrieve a key from a powerful cleric in the City of Madgerm, who did not suffer anyone to disturb in his Chambers….

Cedris Thatcher

Cedris, the son of a thatcher, entered the service of Mithras as a youth. He entered into the service after he had visions instructing him down the path of a devout. After fifteen years within in the church, Cedric was sent out into the outside world so he may learn of it and thus better serve his god.

Arriving in the city of Gowdawn, he stumbled into the Warped Witch, a wild and wooly local tavern. An eye opening experience for a young man so long sequestered. It is there he was introduced to the company of the Gowdawn Explorers. Believing this to be exactly what he had been sent by his god, Mithras to find, Cedric joined the party immediately, soon to learn much more about the outside world than he could have imagined…

El-Dris Evenson

El-Dris, a half-elf, half human wizard, was raised by his human mother and trained in the magical arts by his father, an elven wizard of some renown.

After studying for many years, El-Dris felt a longing to venture out into the world and seek new knowledge. He began his search in Gowdawn, a small human city near the edge of his elven lands. There, while in the local book sellers shop, he met Sasha. With the promise of adventure and discovery, he was recruited by her into the Gowdawn Explorers.

Even so, El-Dris was the only one to suspect their first assignment was too good to be true. He went with the party against his better judgement, only to be rewarded when his premonition proved correct. Though this was of little comfort when he awoke aboard a small boat full of holes near the shore of a unknown land….
